Sunnah method of applying oil

What is the sunnah method of applying oil? Is any method mentioned in the Ahadith?

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

In a narration reported by Aisha (May Allah be pleased with her), it is mentioned that the Messenger (may Allah bless him and give him peace) would pour the oil in his left hand. Thereafter, he would apply the oil on his eyebrows, then his eyes, then his head. (Kanz al-Ummal) 

Although the narration is weak, the above method would be the best method of applying oil.
