Saying “Good luck”

Assalamualaikum

Is it halal to say “good luck”?

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

It is permissible for one to say “good luck” to another person. It should be said with the intention of making du’a for them and it would be in the meaning of “may Allah grant them success”.
