A woman gives all her wealth in the path of Allah, will she have the virtue of being resurrected with the poor?
Question
Assalamu’alaykum,
I read in the hadith that poor Muslims will enter jannah 500 years before the rich ones. If my husband is wealthy but I give all my personal wealth in sadaqah, but I live in his house and enjoy all the worldly benefits he enjoys alongside him because I can’t force him to live a poor life for my sake, will I be considered one of the rich or poor Muslims on the Day of Judgement?
JazakAllah

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما
In Shari’ah, one who possesses less than the amount of nisaab (assets equivalent to the value of 612 grams of silver) is classified as a poor person. Thus, it is hoped that by giving up your own wealth for the sake of achieving this virtue that Allah ta’ala will count you amongst the poor people on the Day of Judgment, even if your husband is taking care of your necessities.
