Applying medicine to external hemroids while fasting

Will applying medicine to external hemorrhoids break one’s fast? If water remains on the hemorrhoid due to cleansing oneself after using the restroom, will it break the fast?

Applying medicine to the external hemorrhoids does not break one’s fast nor does the fast break if water remains on the hemorrhoids after cleansing oneself.
