Can we eat cow rennet?

Can we eat cow rennet such as is found in Kraft American cheese?

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

It is permissible to eat cheese made from rennet which is taken from the stomach of halal animals (such as cows, goats, sheep, and camels), whether or not the animal has been slaughtered according to Islamic principles.
