How should a traveler make up for a missed salah?

If a person misses dhuhr salah while on a journey, how should he make up (qadha) for the salah?

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

In the aforementioned scenario, one would look at their state during the last moment of the salah time they missed; if they were a musaafir (traveler) during the last moment of the salah time, they would perform qadha by offering two rak’ahs. If they were not a musaafir at that time, they would do qadha by offering four rak’ahs.
