Inviting actors to one’s clinic for advertisement

Assalam Alaikum

A person want to open a clinic. He invites film stars at the opening to attract crowd and to generate funds. In current environment people also succeed in raising large amount with the help of show business relations. Is this approach permissible or not?

In reference to your question, film stars are people who are generally involved in many types of sins and are not people one should try to associate themselves with. Furthermore, inviting them would be a form of promoting them and their actions which is not permissible. Thus, one should look towards some other form of advertising and raising revenue which would not require them to promote sin. Consider the following ayah:

Allah Ta’ala mentions in the Quran, “And help each other in good and piety and do not assist one another in evil and transgression.” 

(Surah al-Maaidah, Verse 4)
