Is there anything wrong with children sleeping separately?

As-salaamu ’alaykum,

I have read that the Prophet (saw) said that sleeping separately is from shaytaan.  I have a 2 year old son and a 4 year old daughter that I put down for naptime in separate rooms so they don’t disturb me or each other.  Is this ok to do during the daytime nap? At night-time my kids share a room so they are not alone.

We are unaware of any such narration similar to the one you have mentioned. Nonetheless, it would be permissible to have your children sleep in separate rooms for the aforementioned reason.
