Leasing a store to someone who will use it to sell beer

If someone has a store in the mall, can he rent it to someone who would sell beer (liquor store).

In reference to your question, many ulamā have opined that leasing an area to a person who intends on using it to sell beer would not be permissible as it would be a form of assisting in sin.

However, according to Imam Abu Hanifa (may Allah Ta’ala have mercy on him), doing so would not directly be assisting in sin. Thus, it would be permissible to lease the store to a non-Muslim in this scenario, although it would still be better to avoid.
