May the bride cover her face while the marriage is being conducted?

Assalamu’alaykum,

An Imam supervised a nikah while the woman covered her face with a niqaab. Is this nikah valid?

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

In the aforementioned scenario, if the woman’s identity was known to the imam and witnesses, the nikah would be valid, even if she was wearing a niqaab. It is not necessary for the woman’s face to be showing as long as her identity is known.
