Repeating after the words of adhan from a adhan clock

I have seen some brothers repeating the words of the adhan played from an adhan clock just as they would for a live adhan. Is this acceptable?

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

Adhan played by a clock or something similar to it does not hold the same status as the actual adhan. Therefore, there would be no significance in repeating the words of the recording. However, as the words are themselves sanctified, silence and reverence should be observed towards them.
