Salat-al-jumua in a university

In universities, there is usually a room which is set for Muslims to offer their salah. Is it permissible to offer salatul jum’ah in that room or is it necessary to offer it in the masjid?

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

Offering salah in the masjid with congregation carries great virtue and is strongly encouraged, especially in salat al-Jum’ah. Therefore, if there is a masjid near the university and all of the students can easily attend salat al-Jum’ah there, they should do so. Otherwise, they may perform salat al-Jum’ah with a congregation in the university.
