Sending one’s children to a daycare

Question

Assalam Alaikum

Is  baby sitting allowed under the custody of Non-Muslims?

Answer

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

It is best for the child to be brought up under the love and care of the mother. It is the right of the child on the parents to educate their children about Islam. If it is difficult for the mother to take care of her child due to other responsibilities, then the ideal scenario would be to find a good Muslim household or a close Muslim relative to take care of the child. If this too is not possible, it would be permissible for a non-Muslim to look after the child provided it does not put the child’s imaan in jeopardy.
