Swimming while fasting

Assalam o Alaikum wrbr,

Is swimming allowed during fasting?

In reference to your question, since there is a great chance that water may reach the throat through the mouth or nose while swimming and consequently break one’s fast, therefore it would be better to avoid swimming while fasting.
