Wearing bangles

Is it permissible for women to wear bangles? Especially considering that they attract unnecessary attention by making a jingling sound whilst walking.

It is permissible for a woman to wear bangles. However, she should exercise caution in making sure that clattering noise is not made while walking to avoid attracting unnecessary attention in the presence of non-mahram males.
