What is the ruling for a person that masturbated during a fast in Ramadan to the point of ejaculation?

As salaamu ’alaykum,

What is the ruling for a person that masturbated during a fast in Ramadan to the point of ejaculation? What is the kafarah for that? Is it two months of fasting?

 بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

الجواب حامدا ومصليا ومسلما

If a person masturbates to the point of ejaculation while fasting in Ramadan, this will break his fast. He will have to make up for this fast and must sincerely repent for his mistake. However, the kaffarah of fasting 60 consecutive days will not be compulsory on him.
