Whistling and snapping one’s fingers

Assalamualaikum

I heard that whistling and snapping fingers is calling satan, is this true?

In reference to your question, we are not aware of any hadith or verse of the Qur’an which support the above statement. Nonetheless, the fuqaha have mentioned that one should avoid such actions.
